Mating Slugs: Withdrawal - Type 3 - Variation 1

***Remember: As with the types of courtship, I've created these categories for a small sample of a particular species. They aren't official, and someone else may prefer a completely different categorization.

Type 3 withdrawal encompasses pairings in which the slugs continue to interact even after uncoiling. This type can be considered the broadest of the withdrawal categories.

Couple 4:

It almost looked as though the slug on the left wanted to "cuddle" a while longer. Its partner consented for a few seconds before leaving.

For a while the remaining slug nibbled at the leftover mucus.

But then the other slug returned. When it left it had moved off to the side, but now when it came back it moved down from above. After touching cephalic tentacles, the slug that had stayed behind gave the other a few parting nibbles.
I'm guessing the other slug returned to eat the mucus and, finding the site was occupied, conceded the meal.
