As an amateur photographer and zoologist, I'm chronicling the fauna of my backyard from a creationist perspective.

Rain, Rain, Go Away!
Hoping for some clear skies soon before our Three-band Slugs have to "evolve" into Marsh Slugs! Yet they seem to be coping well, all things considered. The moisture ensures they'll stay hydrated and fed. They just don't care for the rain falling on their sensitive bodies. At least they can get snug and dry under the back porch. But the poor worms are still gasping for air and getting waterlogged! And I'm still concerned about the slug eggs, whether they'll ride out the flood, or never hatch...Nevertheless, the abundance of baby slugs at night is encouraging. The lattice under the porch seems to be their favorite hangout, as they're probably too little to crawl over the drenched ground without drowning.
