- Long, shiny black body
- Large mandibles (mouthparts)
- Two large depressions on a big head
- Grooved elytra (wing cases), which are separated from the smooth pronotum by a peduncle (waist)
Further analysis must be done to determine the species. I found both specimens under bordering-bricks.
