A Letter to the Ladybugs

Dear Ladybugs,

I know that it's cold and wet outside and that you've probably heard from the cockroaches and crickets that our house is a nice, warm place to overwinter, but trust me, you won't find any food here. However, if you do listen to your insect friends and enter our house, I promise that I won't kill you. I'll pick you up gently and return you outside. I'm just looking after the best interests of both of us, and I'll always remain a friend to your kind. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Jess Foster

P.S. But in case you don't believe me, here are some photos that show you how friendly I am with your kind. See? I let this little bug (Harmonia axyridis) crawl right up my sleeve!

This guy flew across the "valleys" in my sleeve.
