Marsh Slugs Love the Rain
As their common name implies, Marsh Slugs (Deroceras laeve) require a constantly wet environment in order to live, so you can imagine they're quite content when it rains. Tonight I spotted 3 of them on the lattice under the back porch, and there were probably more out that I didn't see. Unfortunately the photos of the 3rd didn't turn out because the steady downpour and the poor light made it difficult to get the subject in focus, but here are pictures of the other 2. I apologize for the lack of crispness.
