Southeastern Field Cricket

Curious as to what species of cricket was singing so boisterously in our back yard at night, I followed the call and discovered what I believe to be an adult Southeastern Field Cricket (Gryllus rubens), also called the Eastern Trilling Cricket. This one is obviously a male due to the absence of an ovipositor between the cerci. I mainly see Camel Crickets (Diestrammena [Tachycines] asynamorus) hopping about in the yard (they don't sing). The Field Crickets are always hidden: this specimen was singing his heart out between the grass and a bordering brick. Big strapping fellow, isn't he?
